Which Type of Lacquer Was Used on 1974 Cars?
I would like to use the same type of lacquer that was used on my car during the year 1974, the paint is still good, however, I need to spot some area's. Of course that old lacquer could be spotted as it
'melted with the other' and if you got the color right would not show under any angle of viewing.
Thanks, also where would one be able to by by Ditzler color code this type of paint?
Thanks, any suggestion will be appreciated.

No OEMs were using lacquer paint in 1974. Your car is most likely painted with acrylic enamel, which will not "melt", i.e., dissolve in any paint or
lacquer thinner

Any paint shop should be able to supply matching paint from the VIN number on the car.
