Cleaning medical device made from a magnesium alloy

I am a medical doctor cooperating on a research project in the development of small medical tubular devices made from a magnesium alloy. We are looking for different ways to clean the external and internal surface of the tube once it has been laser cut.

Does anyone have an idea about the possible ways to perform an optimal surface cleaning of a magnesium tubular structure ?

Are there standard technologies known with magnesium and which allow to do this?

Thank you for your advice.

Usable pickling solution for magnesium:
10% nitric acid,20 °C temp.,15 sec. immersion
(according to M.Straschill:Neuzeitliches Beizen von Metallen,Saulgau 1972.)
Good luck and hope it helps!
