High temp non-stick and durable coating?

2006

I am looking for an extremely non-stick coating. That can withstand 350 degrees. Also would like it to be fairly durable. Teflon has been tried with moderate results. However, a bare metal tool used on the part scrapes the teflon off. Something more durable is needed if possible.

I suggest Electroless nickel plating that has co-deposited PTFE (Teflon) particles. Check your local plating company.

Hello Ron,
Poeton sells a good polymer coating called Apticote 200. For high temp ranges they make a 200A or 200L which comes in brown and green respectively. Good Luck!

Hard Chrome. Excellent non-stick and high temperature properties up to 300-350 °F. Also possible Electroless Nickel, plain or with teflon particles.

Sputter-deposited molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) should work in your application.

FOR THE TEMPS AND THE HARDNESS NEEDED, THERMO DIFFUSION GALVANIZING SHOULD DO THE TRICK. WITH 45 TO 48 RC HARDNESS. THIS A PATENTED ZINC POWDER THAT VAPORIZES ON TO OR INTO ANY FERROUS PART AND WILL FOLLOW THE CONTOURS OF THE PART EVENLY INSIDE AND OUT. CAN BE USED PLAIN OR WITH A VARIETY OF TOPCOATS.
