Zinc Ammonium Chloride Effects on Metals

2006

I am looking to adapt an exhaust fan to our Zinc Ammonium Chloride Tank. The fan will be fabricated from Fiberglass (FRP) but I am unsure what type of metal to use for the shaft and hardware. The standand shaft/hardware is carbon steel, but standard options offer 304 & 316 stainless as well as monel. My experience with 304 and 316 stainless has not been good and monel I am unsure of. Will any of these materials last or do I need to request custom hardware made of AL6XN stainless steel or titanium?

Sir,
The standard material for a heating coil in zinc ammonium chloride galvanizing flux is titanium.
