Brushed nickel finish on aluminum

We are looking for a very hard finish that won't scratch easy and have a stainless look. Is it the best finish for our purpose?

Electroless nickel is hard, adheres well to aluminum and has a stainless steel look. But what is your purpose? How hard a surface do you need, how thick a coating, what about dimensional tolerances? Soldering, coloring or other post plating processes needed? Ease of strip-to-repair wanted?
