How to clean a WW 1 bayonet
I recently came into possession of a World War 1 bayonet that is in bad shape. Structurally there are 0 flaws. However, there is a significant rust build up that I need to remove. I need some advice on what type of chemical I need to clean it with. I had read copper sulphate, but I know that is corrosive and I don't want to take the risk of damaging this antique. Thanks

A. Naval jelly [on eBay or Amazon] is made for rust removal but, as you yourself say, you don't want to risk damaging this antique. So finding a restorer or curator might be a better idea.
