Welding on boriding surface

Hi,

Everybody I would like to know, what would happen if I welded the borided components.
Please send your valuable information as earlier as possible.

Hi we have tried with 310 material for welding after using it in liquid boriding bath and it is virtually impossible either due to heavy diffusion of borided layer or due to the frequent heating and cooling at elevated temperature during the process. Further to this an analysis is needed to be done for the extension of boriding diffusion in 310.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
