-----Does chrome gets converted to hexavalent chromium after hard chrome plating
Chrome is in metallic form on metallic coating on the piston rings used in automobiles. Is there any possibility that this chrome in metallic form gets converted to hexavalent chrome after a certain utility period.

Hi Shuba. No. There is no chance. However, because hard chrome often doesn't need spot-free rinsing, there is a possibility of poorly rinsed parts being shipped with hexavalent chrome still on them.
