How to make an Aluminum finish looks like blued steel

I am currently build a model gun, but the model gun body use aluminum and I really want to make it look like steel finish (blued). I came across some spray on product like Duracoat, Molly resin etc.. I was wondering if there is any chemical process to make the aluminum look like steel. Thanks

You can anodize and dye it,or you can copper plate (zincate first, direct copper is possible too )and then colour it with luster colour solution. You can zincate and then iron plate too and as second step blue it chemically or by heat. Good luck!
