How to eliminate solvent popping in twin pack polyurethane paints

I am having difficulty when applying a twin pack polyurethane enamel over a epoxy primer I am told the problem is "gassing" or solvent popping does anyone know how to reduce or eliminate this phenomena? I am using a Devillbiss pump airless spray and the effect is like a sandy finish on the surface.

Are you sure it's outgassing? It sounds like it could be the application method, thatPaint Sprayer (airless) [affil links] could be filling your material with bubbles causing the sandy appearance. Moisture in the system will cause that look too. Whoever told you it was outgassing should be able to tell you ways to eliminate it.
