-----How long will it take for electrolysis to eat through a copper pipe?
I accidentally used a metal strap to secure a copper pipe to the wall. Now it's behind drywall. How long will it take for electrolysis to corrode the copper pipe? Will it only effect where metal is touching or will the whole line be affected?
Thank you in advance.

The strap rather than the pipe will be the victim of any galvanic corrosion. It doesn't sound like there is anything to worry about..

And if it isn't wet, there won't be any galvanic corrosion at all.
