-----Where can I get a ball hone, 240 grit, Aluminum oxide to use on Nikasil
2006
In an earlier post, I saw the recommendation to use a 240 grit, Aluminum Oxide ball hone to prepare a Nikasil cylinder for a new piston and rings.
I can only find Silicon Carbide ball hones made by Brush Research Manufacturing.
Who makes a ball hone with Aluminum Oxide abrasive?
Thanks,

Hi there Ray,
Luckily we stumbled across your post here! My name is Grant and I am part of Brush Research Manufacturing.
You have our apologies if it isn't clear that we make the tool in Aluminum Oxide as well. Silicon Carbide just happens to be the
"standard" but we make the tool in 11 different abrasive types.
By the way- the 240 grit AO is perfect for your application.
Thanks,
