Additives for acid zinc chloride

would appreciate to know about the additives for zinc chlorides in acid media. I am studying about the effect of Thiourea [on eBay or Amazon] and L-cystein on steel 1010. I would like to have more information about additives used in electrodeposition.

Commercial acid zinc plating baths are offered by many suppliers, Zulema, but to my knowledge they are all proprietary. For this reason I think you will find very little open discussion or published literature on the subject. But expired patents are a great source and sites like freepatentsonline.com may be helpful; searching for 'zinc AND electroplate AND thiourea' gave 307 citations. Good luck.
