Cleaning of aluminum investment castings

Gentlemen,

I am an India based investment casting foundry man. I face the problem of cleaning aluminium investment castings. The castings break from the cluster during pneumatic knockout. Internal pockets are almost impossible to clean. Leaching in caustic is not possible because it attacks aluminium rapidly. Can any body suggest proper method of cleaning aluminium investment castings?

Dear Mr Kamat;

You need to invest in an industrial washing machine with pressure jets, filters, turntable, the works. This machine can be run using proprietary cleaners that do not attack aluminium.
