Will copper color change indoors

I am applying a copper leaf to some lettering. Will the leaf change in color with humidity an other air carried substances,even if it is indoors. If so is sealing it the only alternative. Thank you

Yes it will change color, and yes, sealing is the only alternative. But 'sealing' is a very generic term and there may be ways of sealing other than the one(s) you have in mind.
