Abrasion Resistance plating for 300 Series stainless steel

We need to investigate the type of plating that might make 300 series stainless steel more abrasion resistant. Is there such a thing? I know there are all kinds of options for CRS but now sure there's anything available for Stainless Steel.

If there is such a plating or processing, is it available in Mainland China?

First of two simultaneous responses --

Can you give more details about the operating conditions where you want improved abrasion resistance - different environments require different treatments.

Second of two simultaneous responses --

There may be several options but the most important variable to consider to give an educated opinion would be how big are the abrasive particles or how deep will they tend to cut into the part. Also what dimensional tolerances do you have to keep in service. This would define if what you need is a thick coating such as cladding (above 0.020"), a mid thick coating such as hard chrome or hard nickel alloys that usually go from 0.001 to 0.020" or a thin coating such as TiN (below 0.001"). I don't know if all the above are available in China.
