How remove corrosion from steel parts

These parts are partly tin plated and in other place hard chromium plated.Could you advise me how remove corrosion from unplated areas without damaging tin and polished chromium.

There may be more to this question than I am reading, but if your intention is to remove the rust from steel parts without removing the tin or the chromium and without masking the plated areas, that sounds impractical.

What causes the rust?
You might use corrosion inhibitors to prevent the rust from forming. There are many ways to stop rust before it starts.
Let me know if this might work for you.
