What chemicals for Caustic Blueing of Gun Parts

Is there a place on the internet to get chemical formulas and instructions for caustic blueing solutions used for blueing gun parts?

Looking for old-time Blueing Formula/Recipe. I'm looking for the formula for blueing which would date back to the 1920's or 1930's. I restore old guns.

There is a lot to it, Gene, and you probably should start with a book like Angier's Firearm Blueing and Browning [on eBay , Amazon, AbeBooks affil links] .

Our understanding, Michael, was that it is a 1936 book -- so it might be helpful to your question too.
