Chromate treatment to aluminum

I am planning to use the mill finished Aluminum in roofing. I want to know the corrosion performance difference between Mill finished and Chromate treated Aluminum. Also what will be the difference between chromated Aluminum and painted aluminum?

Chromate treated aluminium is much more corrosion resistant.
Chromate treatment is standard pretreatment for painting. Hope it helps and good luck!
