Gold brushplating on automobiles and masking
One problem I've been encountering regards masking. Masking of chrome pieces while stripping to avoid stripping of surrounding chrome or fading of painted pieces, i.e. Cadillac grilles. I've been using paint pens with some success but would love to hear what you recommend.

I am not sure I fully understand what you are doing. Are you stripping only the chrome from part of the bumpers?

There isn't an easy applicable, easy strippable method that doesn't take time that I know of.
If the job was to be done properly, the part would be removed, anything less has it's failings and means a compromise between time, efficiency or uneven plating.
