Restoring badly corroded cast iron cylinder head

I have been asked to assist in the restoration of a corroded cast iron cylinder head from a 1920's Brough Superior motorcycle. Flame spray build up seems like a good solution. I need to consult with someone with experience in cast iron repair. The cooling fins are corroded to two thirds of their original thickness and would surely not survive a welded repair.

We sell a product that is a rust converter [on eBay or Amazon] . It is basically tannic acid [on eBay or Amazon] that reacts with the rust to convert it to a stable oxide. You will probably find some type of rust converter [on eBay or Amazon] available through the local hardware store.
