Food grade coatings for wooden plates and mugs

I am looking for food grade coatings to be applied on wooden serving plates and wooden jugs or mugs. Can you suggest something easily available in India and the application can be in mass.

Hi Sujan

May I suggest you contact the local supplier/manufacturer of Urethane paints ... I'm not thinking of the ordinary ones you buy in the store but the 2 component series.

I was never in the paint business ... just heavy plastic fabrications ... but many plastics are just too soft for your usage.

The supplier in the USA was firstly Monsanto in around l966 ... superb ... hard ... highly abrasion resistant ... but not cheap... smooth glossy finish.
