Powder metallurgical parts made of mixed copper and iron powder requires phosphating
Dear sir/Madam
I am a PhD student and I am interested in to do some research about phosphating of powder metallurgical samples, and my question is: what bath composition and condition could be useful for phosphating ?

Hello Mr. Seifzadeh!
If you want to read about Phosphating, I'd recommend Mil-Handbook 205 as a start, primarily because it's free. Go to Assist-Quicksearch, type "205" into the number box, and scroll down for the document.
Remember that if you're going to coat P/M parts, they will be porous, so you have to deal with that. I believe one way is to smear the surface of the P/M part sufficiently to close the pores enough to reduce ingress of the phosphating solution. Let us know how you conquer that problem! Good luck!
