Change the color of yellow gold rings to red gold

2005

Hello
I have two gold rings. I'd love to change the color of one to red is it possible.
thanks so much.

You would probably be better off having a jeweler re-cast the ring in a different alloy, one that contains a high copper content, and little zinc or nickel.

You might find a plater who does a red alloy, but it will eventually wear off.

Good luck!

My husband has a gold ring and 2 gold bracelets he wears constantly and has for over 10 years. They have recently turned a VERY bright gold color. I have had them tested and they are real (did not really have any doubts). He has recently began taking Celebrex -- could this have an effect?
Thank you
