Hardness on chrome plating surface on IC engine valve

We are chrome plating the stem portion of the valve to a thickness of 5 - 10 microns.
we need to achieve a hardness of the hard chrome surface to 900 Hv 0.10 kg minimum.
what are all the process input required.

We are using high speed salt with additive.

First of two simultaneous responses --

Since we have no idea of the salt or the additive, the only people that can answer your question is the vendor's tech service dept.

Mr Ramasubramanium

The Tech data sheet from your supplier is your best friend. Read study memorise the operating conditions and implement these.

Conditions and factors affecting hardness are generally

temperature
Current Density
sulphate ratio to Chromic acid.

Catalysed baths have specific conditions that need accurate implementation.
