Not shining nickel plated surface issue

We are doing the nickel plating on the wafer and now facing a problem that the coloration is varied from shining to a yellow-like surface when the bath from fresh one to after 60 wafers plated. In the previous experience, the bath can produce about 350 wafers.

I have some questions need your help,

1. Can we use the active carbon filter during the production?

2. If we didn't find any pit, can we add some wetting and brightness additives?

3. We have some experience that the exceeded additive will cause the stress and resulted in the peeling occurred. How can we do? As the vendor states that it's not able to analysis the content.

Please advise your comment and suggestion, thanks.

Mr Shih

It is likely the Nickel solution is contaminated .
Hot carbon treat the solution and try again. use 2 GOPL carbon for 4 to 5 hours with rapid agitation at 60 centigrade. Filter the solution and try again.
This should help.

You have not stated the material the Wafers are made of. Also advise the type of Nickel solution in use. ?
Please advise.
