Cleaning the polishing compound from cast AL pieces

I was trying to making Al cast part with some kind of pattern on it. After I polished the polishing compound was in those small line and very hard to take it out and very long time. Is it any way I can wash it with any chemical to get rid of those compound quick and easay from those pattern lines.
