Lowering the Reflectivity of Stainless Steel Finishes
I am interested in decreasing the reflectivity of 304 stainless steel garage doors that have a #4 finish. The reflectivity of the garage doors is causing a problem with neighbors and I would like to significantly lower the reflectivity of the doors. I am located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tell the neighbors to buy a good pair of sunglasses, that should cut down on the reflectivity!.....Just a thought!....Anyway.....on a more serious note, I am assuming that by #4 finish you are talking of a dull brass finish? A few company's make a lacquer that has different shades of tint in them, that may do it? Or another approach...more expensive....would be to have them stripped then rebuffed or electropolished, but not to that high of a gloss finish.
