Coating thickness problem

Hi,
I'm doiing sulfuric acid anodizing MIL 8625 e .
I'm performing the same parameters voltage 12-18 volts,bath conc.200g/l, temp 16-18c,
and time 35 minutes but I'm not getting the appropriate thickness, my req.is 15 micron but I'm getting only 8 micron?
can any body explain what are those parameters which can increase thickness,
thanx

Different alloys behave differently, including requiring different voltages. What alloy are you anodizing?

Forget the 12 volts! 15 is a practical minimum and 18 is far far better.

For predictable results 12-15 Amps/sq.ft is even better than that! Although, on complex loads, anodizing by current density is not always feasable.
