Etching magnesium alloys/aluminum alloys and other metals

Can anyone help with information on etching magnesium alloys or aluminium alloys. These items will be chrome plated after this process. We wish to etch numbers and logos onto these products. We also require information on etching the following Products.
Stainless steel, aluminium, Brass, Phosphor Bronze, steel.

any help would be appreciated.

You can use 10 % sulfuric acid as magnesium etching solution.
