Good Day!

Sir/Madam:

I'm an Operations Engineering Analyst here in Celestica Philippines and belongs to our Mechanical section of our Production Engineering Department. Our company provides
Electronic Manufacturing Services. Right now, we are evaluating a new project and we don't have clear knowledge on the variety of finishing and painting on stainless steel and aluminum sheet metal.

In this regard, I would like to request a complete specifications on the following so that we could use it during our prototyping stage:

1.) Chromate conversion coating clear, (Alodine) MIL-C-5541, Class III;
2.) Clear passivation per QQ-P-35C [link is to free spec at Defense Logistics Agency, dla.mil] C;
3.) Medium phosphorous electroless nickel,
8-15 micron thick, (grade B) according to MIL-C-26074 [on DLA] Class I, and
electrolytic passivation according to ASTM B656 [withdrawn 2000], Note 9;
4.) One epoxy primer layer 50-70mic. according to MIL-P-53022;
One layer 25-30 mk m Polyurethane, Top coating according to MIL-C-83286;
Color: Pantone Black "U" (MAT) fine texture;
5.) Clean Slightly the painted area only to improve paint adhesion.
Putty outer surface before painting; One epoxy primer layer 20 mkm in acc. w/
ML-P-53022; One layer 25-40 mkm, polyurethane top coating in acc. w/ MIL-C-83286;
Color: Pantone 5415 U fine texture; Protect attachment surfaces
between panel (item1) and axis (item2) from painting;

Hoping to receive your soonest reply on this matter because we really need it badly.

Thank you very much.
