-----Application of Alodine or Iridite touchup on steel
2005
I need to aply very localised touch-up on painted steel parts with conductivity. We are already using an Alodine touchup marker (by henkel) on some aluminum parts. Could this be used on steel or should I use another touch-up protective product?
Surface size: approx. 1/4" dia, need to pass saltspray for 144 hours.
thanks,
- Canada
Alodine or Iridite can be used only on aluminum. Both will corrode steel.

You need to find an equivelent application with zinc for steel, it also helps to warm up the area before you apply it.(same with aluminum)
