Blow Holes

Could you please give me all the various reasons why blowholes are caused?

Because evolution or intelligent design decreed that mammals that live in the water would survive better breathing through a hole at the top of their body :-)

If the blowholes are related to a metal finishing problem, Vijay, could you please describe the situation? It is very difficult for us to contribute usefully when we don't know if you're talking about welding, or defective castings, or pinholes in powder coating, or defects in plating adhesion or what. If you are having a real world problem please tell us the real world problem. Thanks!

I'll go with intelligent design, if it were evolution we would be sitting here arguing over which came first, the flipper or the blow hole.
