Coatings for Stainless Steel

I am looking for ways to deposit materials onto stainless steel. Any information on the subject would be appreciated. Mark

Hi Mark. In most cases you need to start with a Wood's Nickel Strike or a Sulphamate Nickel Strike because stainless steel is so passive that you must simultaneously activate it and plate onto it. Please search for "Wood's Nickel Strike" and you'll find links to numerous letters here. For additional detail try the books listed in our 'must-have' list.
