-----Steel Protection Against Acid
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm a building contaractor, at this moment I build a nickel chrome factory.
Is there any substances/coating that I can use to prevent corrosive on my steel constructions (Wide Flange Beam and Zincalume Roof) due to acid vapours caused when the factory start production?
Your prompt positive reply would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Leo,
I recall one chemical Company (ERCO in Quebec) in the 60's which had interior roof problems. They tried all the paints, then vinyls, etc.etc.
They succeeded eventually. They used ordinary tar, macadam, asphalt
... cheap as wurst ... easy to apply ... easy to re-apply ... but maybe somewhat sticky when new and hot and coloured always BLACK.
Then some years later, this being in the Early Days of Plastics, I used a PP duct for the hot acidic chemistry BUT it was also partially outdoors, too, and hence would be definitely UV attacked ... so I coated it with asphalt ... and years later someone remarked Why in the Hell Did This Guy paint the Duct with Asphalt ... well, at least it proved it worked OK !
So consider that s.v.p.
