Chemistry Project

2005

Hi, I am a secondary school student (Sec 4, age 16) from Singapore.

We are required to design 4 different experiments to form a science kit, to teach children the process of electroplating. We are provided with an electrolyte, copper(II) sulphate solution. We have to provide all other materials ourselves.

Does anyone have an idea of what four experiments we can conduct, and the materials needed to do them?

Thank you

I'm working on a simple project that involves creating an electroplating kit for children aged 9-12. I have to include 4 different experiments that teach the children the principles of electroplating. I am only provided with copper sulphate [on eBay or Amazon] as the base solution. Besides plating coins and watches, I've thought about creating complete objects from copper by making molds. Other than these, I'm running dry on ideas. Can you help me? thank you very much.

Dear Sir,

We are a group of 16 year old students. For our school's science project, we are required to design an electroplating kit (for children ages 9-12) that includes 4 different experiments to plate metal/non-metal objects, applying theoretical concepts oflysis.

We have no idea what those 4 different experiments can be.

PLEASE HELP!

Are you all from my school? (RGS) Looks like we're all stuck, huh?

I suspect things are simpler than what we think. For eg., change one variable to see if it still works, or something like that. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
