REMOVING HARD BURNT POLISHING COMPOUND

2005

HELLO EVERYBODY

YES WE DO LOTS OF NAMEPLATES AND BADGES ON BRASS.

PROCESS:

1/POLISHING BRASS PLATE
2/ETCHING
3/POLISHING
4/PLATING

THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT TAKES LOTS OF TIME TO REMOVE HARD BURNT POLISHING COMPOUND VIA AN ULTRASONIC MACHINE USING A DEGREASER.

H E L P PLEASE COULD ANYBODY TELL ME HOW TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM.

dear Ali,
what a quest in finding an answer to that, its been 9 years on..!

1. I suggest you implement a proper, new, adequate ultrasonic with high penetrating power just for your brass components..badges, plates etc
Do not mix zinc alloy, steel and others

2. And it would be advisable to use cleaning agents in relation to your polishing compounds...which is very very important

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
