Salt usage during testing

What volume of a 5% salt solution would be consumed during a 720 hour cabinet (59x59x118 inches approx. volume area) test to B117? Where can we purchase additional salt?

Volume is irrevelant. It is the square inches of the bottom of the tank that counts. Look in B117 and find the amount to be collected per hour in one collector tube. Divide this by the square inches of the collector funnel and then multiply by the square inches of the tank.

Getting certified salt is a problem. No one wants to certify it to "meets ASTM B117 " . Start with Morton and then ask the manufacturer of your tank.
