Finishing of aluminum shades




Hi,

We are into manuf of various lighting equipments like spotlights,pendants ,ceiling lamps etc of international reputation.We are into a project which involves BUFFING AND POLISHING of aluminum shade .It is an press component and has got draw marks, it is very sensitive to handle,we have used scotch brite, sanders buffing pad. The problem we face is the finish. It is having black and white bands, draw marks and small pitholes even after buffing and polishing. Even though we manage to do few shades the productivity is low. can anyone PLEASE find solution.

I've worked with a couple of compaies with similar problems. The only way to solve problem of marks and volume was to automate the buffing process.
