Stainless steel corrosion rate at high pH?

Is there information on corrosion rate (mils per year)in a stainless steel pipeline at a velocity of 10 ft/s if the pH of the liquid is between 13 and 14. The stainless steels I am interested in are 304L and 316L.

I would definitely talk to the OEM for the pipe as you are talking about something that is a far cry from laboratory errosion. They will probbly be very interested in what the material is and if it has ANY particulate matter in it.

The chloride content, acid or alkaline pH, will make a big difference from any tablular data accumulated by a green school boy engineer.
