Chrome platng for medical instrument surface
I would like to ask you about the possibility of chrome plating layer being used for medical instrument surface treatment.
My concern is toxic elements like lead, which is used an anode electrode (Pb-Sn).
There are many cases in the world for medical purposes with hard chrome plating process like as Low friction chrome plating.
Would you please let me know the possibility using traditional chrome plating process or modified chrome plating process or using platinized titanium anodes? Or any others?
Best regards,

When lead anodes are used for chrome plating, there is not any lead deposited with the chrome.
