Plastic pollution remedies

I am aware of the threat posed by plastics to environment but I wish to know more about possible alternatives/solutions to these problems. Evidently plastics are pregnant with both advantages and disadvantages, yet what can be done or is being done to allay the dangers of plastic pollution. I am interested to pursue my undergrad research on plastic pollution remedies from viewpoints of an engineer so I'll be grateful if any of you guys can help me with some info.

I'm not clear what you want, Dipayan. Are you asking for a recommendation of what college to attend to pursue undergrad engineering research into plastic pollution? If you're just looking for a book on the subject, see if a local library has Plastics and the Environment [on Amazon affil links] by Anthony Andrady. It has very good reviews at Amazon as being a well balanced look at those advantages and disadvantages. Good luck.
