-----Post Treatment passivation of Zn-Fe-Al alloy
2004
Dear Sirs,
Can anyone help me with information about passivation substances for a surface that consists of two alloys. First alloy 90% Zn and 10 % Fe (more likely less Fe) and second 90% Zn and 10 % Al. The two alloys are both at the outermost surface. The parts have to be passivated, without any specific demand of colour. Any colour with dark appearance would be appreciated.

I think that conventional chromate conversion coating in gold, olive, or black might meet your needs. Depending on the application, though, RoHS compliance issues are possible.
