A Rhodium Allergy?

Are there instances of allergies to Rhodium plating? I suddenly seem to have developed a red itching rash under some rings that were sized up and Rhodium plated.

It sounds unlikely. Perhaps the rings were nickel plated before rhodium plating, which is not unusual. Nickel allergy is a commonplace.
