Corrosion from chlorine contamination of test solution

2004

Does anyone have any knowledge of chlorine contamination of parts from copper sulphate ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] testing?

We are currently trying to prove out a passivation line. We experienced corroded parts as a result of chlorine deposits.

All solutions were checked for chlorine content. The only solution that had a positive result was our copper sulphate solution mixed per ASTM A967. Any help would be appreciated.

No chlorides in the copper sulphate test solution unless you used bad water. This is not the copper sulphate that is causing this if you are gettin chloride contamination.
