Requirements for repainting a metal roof in hot, sunny Florida

Several contractors seem to be all over the place in informing me as to what techniques and products they would use to repaint my metal roof in Florida. Please provide any guidance that will be helpful in determining the proper course of action that the contractor should take.

You'll need to give more information that that...Different metals will have different pretreatment needs. All I can say at this stage is that cats won't like your roof!
