Silver Oscar

If any one knows the cheapest and most cost efficient way to obtain silver from silver nitrate please tell me. Also can you tell me how much silver would be required to make a silver Oscar statue to match the current gold statue that weighs 3.86 g. Thank You

The current Oscar is neither solid gold, nor could it way only 3.86 g, so I'm obviously misunderstanding you. Please tell us the real-world background behind your two questions and maybe things will be clearer.

Chris,

Dissolve AgNO3 in water, throw in a clean piece of copper wire, come back next day. Don't let your teacher catch you. Just kidding. Be careful with the silver nitrate though, it is corrosive.
