Need plating advise, ideas for bolts, nails, wrenches used as jewelry etc.

My question comes from zero knowledge of how plating and finishes work on metal. I need information on how to apply, or pay a vendor to finish stainless steel to be worn as heavy jewelry.....ie, nails, bolts, wrenches, etc....I wanted silver plating, but don't know what other ideas might work. I just need the pieces to be something other than stainless steel looking. Any advise would be very helpful! Thanks!

Stainless steel should be able to be plated with just about anything from copper, to gold, to chrome, or nickel. I am not an expert by a strech but I do think that there would be a local chrome plating shop near where you live, they would be a good point to start at and see what they suggest.
