-----Plating nickel-chrome on diecastings without using cyanide
I am looking for a process to plate nickel-chrome on zinc diecasting without cyanide.

There are indeed some proprietaries, based on copper pyrophosphate or special nickel strike formulations, that allow plating onto zinc diecastings without the use of cyanides. I believe that EPI / Electrochemical Products Inc. [a finishing.com supporting advertiser] [New Berlin, WI] is one supplier with a very strong commitment to offering cyanide-free alternatives. However, every choice always involves tradeoffs, and I don't think I would try to go cyanide-free on high-reliability devices (but my knowledge may be dated).
