Musician asks if clear EMI/RFI shielding exists?

Does anyone know of a clear conductive shield for EMI/RFI? I'm looking to shield my guitar electronics, but I have a clear pick guard so they are on display. Is there anything at least partially transparent that has about the same shielding properties as traditional copper tape or shielding paint?

Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

A layer of Indium-Tin-Oxide is used in the electronics industry on transparent surfaces (glass, etc.). To be transparent, it is a pretty thin layer, so is not as effective as Copper tape. Also it has a slight bluish color, but seems to be the only acceptable approach. Now you have to find an outfit to do the coating, which may be even harder!

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
